Camp sites are available at Lucius Woods State Park or at Swanson's Campground. Jersett Creek campsite and Leo Creek Campsite are located along the North Country Trail.

Bird Watching
The Bird Sanctuary, officially called the Douglas County Wildlife Management Area (DCWMA), is a 4,000 acre property that is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and leased from Douglas County (except for 994 acres that are state owned). 240 acres of the property were designated the Solon Springs Sharptail Barrens State Natural Area by the DNR in 1968. In addition, the Midwest Ice Racing Association holds quad, atv/utv, bike ice races each year in front of the St. Croix Inn, and the Superior Wisconsin Off Road Drivers (S.W.O.R.D.S) group holds a trail run, finishing up at Soft Pines resort here in Solon Springs. Cross Country Ski Trails
