Camping: Camp sites are available at Lucius Woods State Park or at Swanson's Campground. Jersett Creek campsite and Leo Creek Campsite are located along the North Country Trail.
Hiking: The North Country Trail (NCT) connects America’s red plaid nation, wandering 4600 miles through America’s rugged northern heartlands. Stretching across seven states, this longest National Scenic Trail is brought to local communities through the dedication and hard work of volunteers. Bird Watching: The Bird Sanctuary, officially called the Douglas County Wildlife Management Area (DCWMA), is a 4,000 acre property that is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and leased from Douglas County (except for 994 acres that are state owned). 240 acres of the property were designated the Solon Springs Sharptail Barrens State Natural Area by the DNR in 1968. Hunting; Solon Springs is a good location for bear, deer, and turkey hunts.
